This couture LARP experience is unlike any other you have seen. Set in the immersive environment of The Quixotic World in the Deep Ellum district of Dallas, The Occularium will transport you to a most devilish and devious party indeed. A gathering of villains to set their hierarchy and establish dominance for the new power cycle of the Multiverse.

This is a limited attendance couture LARP experience for a restricted cast of no more than 100. A complete weekend including social gatherings and a dedicated LARP session focusing on the nuts and bolts of how villainous cabals plot world domination, or how they don't. Can you craft the Steampunk villain that rises to prominence in the ranks of the Arcane Theocracy and begin the fall of the Multiverse to your nefarious cabal? Only the Occularium will decide.

EVENT HOTEL
THE HOTEL INDIGO DALLAS DOWNTOWN
Our weekend long experience includes three out of characters social gatherings and a ,lot of opportunities to meet other great role-players and participants. We’ve arranged a special event rate of $149 per night for rooms at the historic Hotel Indigo Dallas Downtown which first opened in 1925.
The entire event staff and cast will be lodging at the Indigo and participants lodging there will no doubt get lots of opportunities to interact with our developers and cast in the hotel.

PASSES AND UPGRADES
Player Pass
This pass includes the use of one of the pre-generated character concepts and plotlines for the Occularium LARP experience. Characters are awarded on a first come, first served basis and participants will be asked to give the names of three possible characters from the listing for their preference. This Pass includes the players lunch/safety brief, In character dinner, and six hour interactive on Saturday as well as access to the Friday night cash bar mixer and Sunday morning after brunch.
Costume is required.
House Royalty Upgrade
This upgrade to the Player Pass secures a Character concept that is a more powerful character in influence and clout at the Occularium. The Character will be the King, Queen, Page, or Knight of one of two Houses (Coins &Cups). House Royalty Characters have more in character contacts and information and start the game session with an advantage. Take note, the setting is high intrigue and a House Royalty position could be lost or improved in session through role play. These characters are more challenging to play.
Council Member Upgrade
This upgrade to the Player Pass secures a Character concept that is one of the most powerful characters in influence and clout at the Occularium. The Character will be a seated Member of the Council of 21. Council Member Characters have more in character contacts and information and start the game session with a considerable advantage. Take note, the setting is high intrigue and a Council position could be lost or improved in session through role play. These characters are more challenging to play.
Royalty Group Upgrade
This upgrade to four (4) Player Passes secures four (4) Character concepts that are more powerful characters in influence and clout at the Occularium. The Characters will be the King, Queen, Page, and Knight of one of two Houses (Rods or Swords). House Royalty Characters have more in character contacts and information and start the game session with an advantage. Take note, the setting is high intrigue and a House Royalty position could be lost or improved in session through role play. These characters are more challenging to play. This a great opportunity for a group of friends or even a family.
Custom Character Upgrade
This upgrade to the Player Pass secures a Character concept that the participant creates themselves with consultation with Mad Raven staff. Have a villain you enjoy playing? Designed a Steampunk villain you think could rule the Occularium? Only one way to find out!

House Servant Pass
This upgrade to the Player Pass secures a Character concept that is a servant in the House of Mistress Chicylia, hostess of the Occularium. This type of character will be helping in the duties of the staff. Performing minor tasks like collecting trash, sweeping up, attending to Mistress Chicylia and running messages for the more powerful villains in the room. Servant character will have their own Servant storyline unique to their station in Victorian life. The reduced price is in appreciation of the fact these pass holders will be helping with basic area cleanliness.

CHARACTER CONCEPTS
Character Concepts are the basis for participation in the Occularium LARP experience. Those familiar with with interactives or gaming may see these as "Character Sheets". In truth these are the outlines of the premise and the motivation of the character in relation to the plot of the overall interactive. The Occularium allows it's participants to add to the character concept by leaving the fine details of the character such as name, pronouns, and costuming up to them. Most Character Concepts are described in the gender neutral and participants may portray and develop those characters in the gender identity they wish. Some Character Concepts are developed to be portrayed in specific gender as is sometimes necessary for plot development. Participants are encouraged to read through all of the Character Concepts to find the character they wish to portray and develop.
Example: A participant reads the Character Concept "The Apprentice" and likes the social and personality points of the Character, they decide to portray this Character as a female gender person of noble birth and make up the name "Lady Bunny Bellweather" and add a few more interesting biographical notes such as age and place of birth.
As long as the participant continues to follow the motivations and personality notes in the Character Concept then the interactive will still be enjoyable. Participants are encouraged to make these concepts their own in presentation and costuming.
COUNCIL MEMBERS
The Voice of Strength. Emissary of
the Ape Lord
To be the voice of the most feared conqueror in the Multiverse is diplomat of a different stripe. Fear of your master alone will not achieve your objectives this character will need to couple finesse with power.
The Wheel of Fortune,
Clotho The Last Moirai
When the humans of her world threw down the Gods at the end of days, Clotho was the only one of the three Fates to escape to the Multiverse. the Wheel of Fortune is a mysterious character whose position on the Council is precarious at best. Quick alliances will need to be made.
The Servant of the Council, the voice of the Citizens Villainous. Though once a powerful yet non voting position on the Council the Prolocutor administers the Occularium and the Councils' business. This character can control the flow of Council business and as such manipulate events.
Master of Realm of Caligula.
The Devil is a mysterious figure on the Council of 21. Drawing power from the guilt and torment of victims while indulging off-worlder's darkest deviancies only to entrap them. The Devil is a character that knows how to twist others secrets to an advantage.
The Diva,
Holder of the Star seat
The Diva has held the Star seat as long as anyone can remember. A siren style villain the Diva is a character for those wishing to portray both a stunning performer and long standing villain made only stronger with age.

Cormorant Garamond is a classic font with a modern twist. It's easy to read on screens of every shape and size, and perfect for long blocks of text.
